When and where are your classes?
Our regular Spanish courses are held in a classroom close to the Congreso neighborhood, which is located near the center of Buenos Aires. Courses begin every week from Monday to Friday, but private classes can be scheduled at a time and place that is convenient for each student (including Saturdays).
What about tango?
It's best to have some previous Spanish speaking experience before attempting to learn tango lyrics.
For foreigners who want to learn Spanish and more about our beautiful argentine tango songs, I offer assistance in translating the poetry and slang that make up the lyrics of the tangos.
Normally, working with tangos is a three-step process. First, you must listen to, identify, and transcribe the words of the singer. Then you must decipher the poetry and street language. And finally, you must try to translate the story into English in a way that makes sense. For those who want to make the effort, it's an excellent way to become familiar with the history, culture, and the speech patterns of Buenos Aires.
What about Spanish lessons online?
The student must have an account on Skype, microphone and earphones in his computer. To pay lessons, he/she should have an account on PayPal and make the payment from my web site.
Initially, we will arrange on email for a free trial Spanish lesson on Skype. If everything is working well, we will arrange a suitable date and time for future lessons.
In the Spanish lessons online, the student and the tutor focus on some grammar, pronunciation, and conversation.
Cost: For conversational Spanish and general questions, we charge $10 per hour. If it is a more elaborated class (e.g., grammar exercises, talking about videos or explaining songs such as the lyrics of the tangos), the cost is $15 per hour.
What about the Spanish proofreading?
We proofread and edit Spanish writings in person or by email. We review different kinds of text: academic, literary, commercial correspondence, brochures, contents for web sites, and journalistic articles.
We charge $10 for correcting from a few lines until 470 words, which usually fit in an A4 size page. About payment, he/she should have an account on PayPal and make the payment from my web site.
What about English-Spanish or Spanish-English translations?
The person in charge of this work is Patricia Santos Lucio, a Spanish-English and English-Spanish translator certified by Buenos Aires Translators' Association who has been working with Grammarama Spanish Classes by proofreading and reviewing some of the translations on this web site.
Our team is made up of one translator and several proofreaders, which provides added value and professionalism to the service we offer. While Patricia is a well-qualified professional and does most of the work, Mariángeles checks final versions in Spanish and a native university graduate from the United States or England checks translations into English if required.
Non-Certified Translations: rates per source word

How much do the classes cost?
Group instruction: $7 US (29,50 Argentine pesos) per person for six one-hour classes (2 or more people). What is the English-Spanish language exchange?
We organize meetings between native speakers of Spanish and English made up by two or three participants and held at our place. This is a great experience and we have observed good results on the learning process.
Initially, we arrange by email a suitable date and time for the conversational meetings. Each participant pays $5 per meeting, which is used to cover the costs.
