Buenos Aires, Federal Capital of the Argentine Republic, is one of the largest South American cities. With a modern infrastructure, it can adequately host its visitors. Buenos Aires is multifaceted with its large variety of cultural events. The traditional nightlife of the city continues in full swing. Along with the tango, it distinguishes Buenos Aires from other cities in South America or Europe. You can dance tango, salsa or rock and roll into the early hours of the morning almost every day of the week, or you can go to a concert or the theatre, see a movie in the cinema, play soccer in the park, and much more. Buenos Aires offers entertainment for everybody. Buenos Aires is the product of a dream shared by immigrants. About 150 years ago, people from many different nations came here and shaped the city with particular cultures. Beautiful architecture, kindness and cultural level of people make Buenos Aires a special city. For the last eight years, the exchange rate for the Argentinean peso from the US dollar, the UK pound, the Euro, or the Yen, has been an advantage for tourists from some countries. |

It never snows in winter, and seldom you can see morning frost. Although Buenos Aires is a large city, it is easy to walk or move around by bus or the subway. City transport is pretty efficient and inexpensive. Taking a taxi is inexpensive too, for example, you pay $20 (Argentinean pesos) for a 20 block trip. Mariángeles Di Paola - Nora Distilo
