Simple Present of regular verbs ending in ´-ar, -er, -ir’. Singular Personal Pronouns: I; you (informal); he, she, you (formal). Simple Present of the irregular verbs: to be / to have / to do. Simple Present of the reflexive verb ´to be called’. Singular Possessive Adjectives: my ; your (informal); his, her, your (formal). Interrogative Pronouns: what versus which; how and which; how much/many; where; from where. Making Polite Requests: ´I would like’ + noun or infinitive. |

Introducing yourself and others. E.g.: ´I am Mariana, the teacher of Spanish’ / ´He is Carlos’. Asking for and giving personal information informally. E.g.: What is your name / surname/ address? Asking someone for something using previously acquired vocabulary: ´I would like...’ Ordering in a restaurant. |

Vowels and Consonant sounds: c/ k / cc / que / qui. The letter “h”. Intonation: Affirmative Statements and Questions. Verb Stress. Recognizing and incorporating the correct pronunciation and word stressing through focused listening exercises. This task will be practiced throughout the course. |
